OnePlus Buds Z2 Review: Body and Design
First of all, we will talk about its charging case. Its charging case has a long oval shape with OnePlus branding on the top. Oneplus Buds Z2 is available in two colors – white and black. We had the black variant.
There is a LED indicator at the front of the charging case and it is a very simple charging case. There’s a USB Type-C port for charging and a button for pairing new devices at the back.
You can open the lid of the charging case using one hand without any discomfort. There are two earbuds naturally inside the case, which have a very basic but good design. The stem of the earbuds is quite long; however, nothing bad about it. There is a touch sensor at the top of the earbud which can be used for giving commands to the Buds Z2.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 can be a very appealing and good option for anybody who is looking for a strong performer in the budget segment. If you listen to music with high bass, the OnePlus Buds Z2 can be a perfect choice.
Its sound quality is very loud and it delivers crystal clear sound. One thing that we really appreciate about these budget TWS earphones is that it offers noise cancellation. It has different types of modes, people can switch between Transparency, Noise Cancellation, and Noise Cancellation mode. There’s also a ‘Normal’ mode.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 comes with 11mm dynamic drivers and it can support active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 40db.
There is not any gaming-related issue with these earbuds. 93ms latency is offered by the OnePlus Buds Z2, which is quite decent. For voice calls, it has three inbuilt microphones, which is also a very decent experience.
Even while running, when I was sweating a lot, there was no issue. Probably because the earphones are rated IP55, which is water and dust-resistant. One important thing is that the charging case has been rated IPX4 and is also water-resistant.
The max noise cancellation mode of the OnePlus Buds Z2 is very strong. It almost cancels any unnecessary sound and frequency that you wouldn’t want to ruin your listening experience.

The battery of the OnePlus Buds Z2 is excellent. It’s perfect for those who want to listen to music, podcasts, or anything else without worrying about running out of battery over and over again. The Oneplus Buds Z2 can charge very fast too. If you have a OnePlus charging brick, you can simply take it and connect it to the USB Type-C port on the back of the earbuds charging case for fast charging.
The charging case of the OnePlus Buds Z2 comes with a 520mAh battery, and the brand says it can deliver a playback time of 38 hours on a single charge. Both earbuds have a 40mAh battery. We didn’t count the hours, but we are pretty sure that it can deliver performance above 30 hours with its charging case on a single charge.
OnePlus Buds Z2 Review: Features and Things that Impressed Us!
OnePlus Buds Z2 is cool and impressive in terms of look and design. It can offer ANC with multiple setting adjustments with the ‘Dolby Atmos’ support for a budget price. It pairs with a OnePlus device very fastly. It is really fast and quickly scans nearby OnePlus smartphones. It is not hard to re-pairing it with any other devices. It takes a couple of seconds, and it is paired and ready to go.
The functions of the earbuds are easy to understand. You can play/pause music or pick up and disconnect calls with a single tap on the top of the earbud, and with a double tap, you can move forward through the playlist to the next music, while with three taps, you can restart the music.
Packing all of this into such a budget TWS earphone, We must say, the OnePlus has done a good job.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 is launched at Rs 4,999 in India. If you are looking for a TWS earphone that is value for money, then it could be the OnePlus Buds Z2. At this price, We couldn’t ask for more from OnePlus. We also know, there is competition in the Rs 5,000 price range, but the OnePlus Buds Z2 stands in its own league. We would have loved it more if the charging case was as small as the OnePlus Buds Pro in width, length, and height.
If you want all the premium features trimmed down to an affordable TWS earphone then you can definitely consider OnePlus Buds Z2. The sound adjustment is also a useful feature that you can use with the OnePlus Buds Z2. These earbuds are available on the official website of OnePlus India and Amazon India in addition to retail stores across the country. If you want a more affordable OnePlus earphone, then you can buy OnePlus Buds Z. But they don’t have the kind of features which OnePlus Buds Z2 come with.

If you can extend your budget to Rs 10,000, then the OnePlus Buds Pro is a quality buy, and it feels much more premium and better in performance and look as compared to the OnePlus Buds Z2.
